BRICK ETIQUETTE
I hope that you thoroughly enjoy your first brick swap. I do need to point out a couple of things before you get started.
Please be sure that you have paid your IBCA dues in advance or you need to locate the IBCA Treasurer ( Donna Johnson ) or another Officer. If you are able to attend the Friday afternoon portion, this is an excellent opportunity to meet other members and share stories.
On Saturday morning, arrive at the designated location and place that you intend to swap face up on the ground at the rear of your vehicle. In the hour or so before the swap (9am) everyone visits and and identifys the bricks that they hope to take home. Actual selection of your first brick is with one foot on one brick. Other IBCA members might be at the same pile so be careful. At 9am the horn sounds to begin the swap, at that time pick up the brick under your foot and begin to pick up other unclaimed bricks ( without another IBCA member attached ) and return them to your vehicle ( in your truck bed or car trunck ). And then go find more bricks. Repeat this prosses until you tire out, your vehicle is full or all the bricks are gone. Please keep this “Brick Ettiquette” in mind while at a swap and most of all, ENJOY YOURSELF!
